Brittany vs. Britney

Can I just say that last night's episode of GLEE was AMAZING!! I was completely GLEEked out watching as they paid tribute to the one and only Britney Spears. Britney also guest starred in this episode with John Stamos, who let me just say, is still just as hot as his Uncle Jesse days. If he were my dentist, I'd definitely be getting monthly checkups. Heather Morris did an amazing job being Britney, or Brittany S. Piers. The video below is her version of what I think is one of Britney's best songs to date. I want you all to note that she is actually singing the recorded song. If I didn't know, I would have thought she was Britney herself.
I can tell this is going to be another excellent season of GLEE! I've also heard Justin Timberlake is making a guest appearance. I can't wait!! If you didn't catch the full episode, check it out on FOX.

Breakfast Sausage Cups

Per request, here is the recipe for breakfast sausage cups. I have to credit Regina Ginn for getting me started on this recipe. They are so delicious. The best part is that you can make them up at night and just stick them in the oven in the morning. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
1 pound tube mild sausage (can use hot if you like it spicy)
1 package cream cheese (8 ounces)
1 can flaky butter flavored biscuits
Cooking Instructions:
Preheat oven to temperature on biscuit can. Pull biscuit layers apart. 1 biscuit should make about 3 layers. Place layers in mini muffin tins. Brown sausage in skillet and mix in cream cheese until melted. Spoon sausage and cream cheese mixture into muffin tins. Bake until biscuits are brown.

Fashion I Want Now & Sale of the Week

For those of you who don't know, I've been working at a new job for the past nine months. I'm really enjoying the laid back feel, but surprisingly I do miss getting to dress really professional sometimes. I wanted to focus on work clothes today, so here goes.

I love this grey and black dress from Banana Republic for $150.00.
I would pair it with these sheer burgandy tights from Forever 21 for $4.80.
Last but not least, I would throw on these ankle boots from Nine West for $89.00.

That's it for me for the week. Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend.

Wee Bit Wednesday

{one} what is your happiest childhood memory?

This one is definitely watching my brother play sports. I used to love going to the ballpark and watching my brother play anything. I can't wait to start watching my nephews play.

{two} what is your middle name?

ReNee'

{three} what’s the habit you’re most proud of breaking?

Biting my nails!! I used to keep those things so short, and it was so unattactive. I still do it when I get really nervous, but not half as much.

{four} what do you order when you order chinese food?

Beef and Broccoli or Egg Rolls

{five} what’s the best bargain you’ve ever found at a garage sale or thrift store?

Sadly, I can't think of one single thing!! Boo, I know, boring.

{six} what’s the best costume you’ve ever worn?

I'd have to say the "Supergirl" costumes that all my friends from college wore for Halloween one year. I must tell this story, though. One time when I was in 8th grade at a new school, I was invited to the "cool kids" costume party. I had my sister drive me to Party City, but all we could find was a Mr. Potato Head costume with removable parts. I put it on and stuffed it with newspaper with a smile on my face. I was just glad to be invited to the "cool kids" party. I show up and obviously didn't get the memo that everyone was going to be wearing "sexy" (well, as sexy as you can be in 8th grade) costumes. I felt ridiculous the whole time and was so embarassed and upset. Now looking back it's so funny, but then it was just "devastating." I still don't really like fat Halloween costumes.

{seven} who’s your favorite game show host?

Cat Dealy, So You Think You Can Dance... She's just fabulous; such a fashionista!

{eight} what’s your favorite breakfast food?

Mmmm... Breakfast Sausage Cups. These are simply divine. Message me for the recipe.

{nine} what’s your least favorite word?

Pimple... It just sounds so gross.

{ten} describe something that happened to you for which you have no explanation.

Someone once told me that I looked like a cross between Susan Surandon and Jamie Lee Curtis... I really hope there's no explanation for that. That's just mean.

Tuesday Thoughts

1. GLEE comes back tonight!!! I could not be more excited. If you don't already watch this show, you should. I can't wait to see what happens in season 2. Will Quinn decide to keep her baby? Will Kirk find a man? Will Mercedes find her place? Will Rachel and Fehn finally have a normal relationship? Will Mr. Shu do another sexy number like Gold Digger from last season? Will Brittany do something with her bangs? Will Puck want to marry me?? So many questions. So to all my fellow GLEEks out there, let's watch together as yet another awkward highschooler falls victim to a slushie in the face!!! GLORIOUS!

2. Fall for Phi Mu Supper Club is Thursday night!! I can't wait for this! We are going to have a blast. Enough said. Pictures to come.

3. I'm making spicy chicken spaghetti tonight. I'm pretty positive it will be delicious with a capitol "D"!

4. Big Brother is over, and I'm having withdrawals. It's just pathetic really. On a more pathetic note, I'm mostly upset because Fantasy is still on blackout. I need my final score people!! Last time I checked, I was 49th out of over 24,000. This is serious business! Wish me luck, y'all!

Fashion I Want Now & Sale of the Week

Here are some fashion items that I want now...
I love this shirt from ModCloth for only $49.99, tucked into these jeans from the same place for only $44.99.
Just add a light cardigan and these clogs from DSW for only $69.99 and you're set!

Now, for the sale of the week. I've been looking for a blazer that's got a casual feel but is dressy enough to wear at special events. This Elizabeth & James velvet blazer from Ottery is $395.00 $118.50. I think that's a pretty dang good deal.

That's it for me today. Hope everyone has a safe and fashionable weekend!!

Wednesday Thoughts

I'm a day late this week, but here goes...

1. The finale of Big Brother is this week (well, tonight actually)! It's been a pretty good season so far; and even though I hated to see Britney go, I'm hoping either Lane or Hayden will take the 500k. I can't wait for tonight's finale!!
2. This is where I get a little cheesy. I'm dating my best friend. Seriously, I love this guy so much!! Just had to add that.
3. I'm having so much fun planning a baby shower for my sister with some of her friends, aunt, and sister-in-law. What a great group of hostesses. They have been so sweet.
4. I'm having lunch today at Fenians with my friend, Paula. I bet it will be delicious.
5. XOXO!! Gossip Girl is back. I know I'm too old, but I just love it and Chuck Bass.

That's all I've got for ya today, bloggies... Hope everyone is having a wonderful week!!

The Big Easy!!

We're finally back from New Orleans, and we had a pretty good time. I'm really not ready to get back into the swing of things, but that's how life goes! We rode the train down, which I would recommend to anyone. The ride back can be a little bit miserable, because you're so tired and just ready to be home. We stayed at the Royal St. Charles, which is a nice hotel with a great location. We ate great food and drank great Bloody Marys. We even made a little time for Bourbon Street. Oh, and did I mention the Saints won!!!! (Side note: I know my Bulldogs lost, but I think we are getting better! If we could just complete passes! Grrr!) I even got to pick up a new Brees jersey for Myers. Here are some pictures from the trip!!

Fashion I Want Now & Sale of the Week

I just wanted to do a post on some things that I want right now. I've broken it down into categories of Affordable (I could possibly buy it.), Pricey (I probably can't afford it, but love it.) and Dream Item (Not a snowball's chance, but I want it really bad).

Affordable
This week's picks from Forever 21
I love this little dress for only $36.80, paired with sheer tights and these shoes.

$29.80

Pricey
This week's picks from Anthropologie.

Shirt - $98, Cords - $198, Boots $288

Dream
This week's pick from Madison.

Fall Jumper - $310

Sale of the Week
This week's pick from Gargyle.

Karen Walker Dress - $550 $125
I know $125 is still a little pricey, but this could be worn so many ways. Wear it to work with black pencil pants and pumps. Wear it on a date with tights and boots. Wear it out with bare legs and heels. You get my point.

(I apologize for any typos in this post. I'm in a hurry!)
Have a great day!!

A Little Break

As I've previously mentioned on my blog, I'm headed to New Orleans this weekend for Saints vs. Vikings plus a little bit of fun. This means that I will be on a slight blogging break for the rest of the week. I'll be back Monday with some pics from the trip and Tuesday with some thoughts. Hope everyone has a fun rest of the week/weekend. Be safe!

Hilarious Hamster

If you watch Big Brother, you will probably find this hilarious. If not, you might just want to skip it. I LOVE Britney. I think she is so funny. I HATE Rachel. I think she is terrible. That, in a nutshell, is why I love this video.

I'm watching you...

My co-worker and I were talking about the south's love of football today. I truly believe that nowhere is there a greater love for football than the SEC. It almost becomes part of your life in some way. I know I grew up with football on every tv in the house. I loved watching my brother play or my dad coach. Football can be found in almost ever southern home on a gameday. It sounds cheesy, but it just brings people together. Today, I want to share a video that my co-worker shared with me. I literally had chills and tears watching this. It's pretty amazing!

Enjoy your season guys!!
