Wednesday Thoughts

I'm a day late this week, but here goes...

 

1. The finale of Big Brother is this week (well, tonight actually)! It's been a pretty good season so far; and even though I hated to see Britney go, I'm hoping either Lane or Hayden will take the 500k. I can't wait for tonight's finale!!

2. This is where I get a little cheesy. I'm dating my best friend. Seriously, I love this guy so much!! Just had to add that.

3. I'm having so much fun planning a baby shower for my sister with some of her friends, aunt, and sister-in-law. What a great group of hostesses. They have been so sweet.

4. I'm having lunch today at Fenians with my friend, Paula. I bet it will be delicious.

5. XOXO!! Gossip Girl is back. I know I'm too old, but I just love it and Chuck Bass.

The Big Easy!!

We're finally back from New Orleans, and we had a pretty good time. I'm really not ready to get back into the swing of things, but that's how life goes! We rode the train down, which I would recommend to anyone. The ride back can be a little bit miserable, because you're so tired and just ready to be home. We stayed at the Royal St. Charles, which is a nice hotel with a great location. We ate great food and drank great Bloody Marys. We even made a little time for Bourbon Street. Oh, and did I mention the Saints won!!!! (Side note: I know my Bulldogs lost, but I think we are getting better! If we could just complete passes! Grrr!) I even got to pick up a new Brees jersey for Myers. Here are some pictures from the trip!!

A Little Break

As I've previously mentioned on my blog, I'm headed to New Orleans this weekend for Saints vs. Vikings plus a little bit of fun. This means that I will be on a slight blogging break for the rest of the week. I'll be back Monday with some pics from the trip and Tuesday with some thoughts. Hilarious Hamster

If you watch Big Brother, you will probably find this hilarious. If not, you might just want to skip it. I LOVE Britney. I think she is so funny. I HATE Rachel. I think she is terrible. That, in a nutshell, is why I love this video.

I'm watching you...

My co-worker and I were talking about the south's love of football today. I truly believe that nowhere is there a greater love for football than the SEC. It almost becomes part of your life in some way. I know I grew up with football on every tv in the house. I loved watching my brother play or my dad coach. Football can be found in almost ever southern home on a gameday. It sounds cheesy, but it just brings people together. Today, I want to share a video that my co-worker shared with me. I literally had chills and tears watching this. It's pretty amazing!

Tuesday Thoughts...

1. I'm keeping Myers tonight and couldn't be more excited about it. We're going play tunnel, tickle, mickey mouse, every trick he knows, etc. until we drop. I just love my little monster!!

2. It's Kristin's birthday week!!! Now, this gal loooovvveesss a birthday. She's not understated about it either. I think when she turns 40, she's not going to be embarrassed about her age. Instead, she's going to be shouting it to the rooftops so people can help her party it up. I can't wait to go to Burgers and Blues Thursday night to celebrate.

3. I'm only working two days next week.... WooHoo!!!!!!!! Monday, of course, is Labor Day. I will also be off Thursday and Friday for my New Orleans trip. Did I mention that I was pumped up about this?? Oh, I didn't think so.

4. Friday, I'm having lunch with two of my favorite friends from college, Lauren and Graham. Graham is also bringing his girlfriend, Molly, which means extra fun. I can't wait for all the fun conversation and the spinach salad from Broadstreet!!

5. I went to a shower this weekend for my friends Wally and Stephanie. They are such a cute couple, and I'm so excited that they are getting hitched y'all! I've known Stephanie for a long time since we grew up in the same church, and Wally and I have been besties all through college!! I had so much fun at the party and can't wait to whoop it up at their wedding. Also, I am the proxy bride at their rehearsal. I am so thankful to them for including me in their big event!!
