Wee Bit Wednesday

{one} what's your guilty pleasure tv show?
Well, this is tough because I watch SOOOO many reality TV shows, and most all of those are guilty pleasures. Probably the one I'm most obsessed with is Big Brother. I watch it 3 times per week and constantly read about the live feeds. It's sick really.

{two} ear piercings on men: yes or no?
Absolutely not for this gal.
{three} do you have dish or comcast?
Comcast.

{four} what's your favorite current fashion trend?
Right now, I'm really loving anything sheer. I love dark sheer shirts with skin colored tops underneath.
{five} if you could learn to do anything, money not being an issue, what would it be?
I would love to go to culinary school or maybe hair school. Both of those things would be cool to know how to do professionally.
{six} red or white wine?
Red for sure. Meredith got me hooked on Mirrasou Pinot Noir.
{seven} what type of food is your favorite (ex. italian, mexican, etc.)
I really love Mexican, but not the kind from authentic Mexican restaurants. Most of that looks dirty to me. I like Tex Mex more. Italian is also really delicious and Greek.

{eight} hp or mac?
I've used both and liked them both for different reasons. I like PCs for the familiarity. I like Macs for the ease of media and all the tricks.
{nine} what color is your bedroom?
White... Ahh, the joys of the rental.
{ten} what's your favorite form of exercise?
Probably running, even though I don't do it enough. I also like an abs class.

Wee Bit Wednesday

{one} what is your dream job?
My dream job would be to work for myself. I would love to have some sort of retail store.

{two} how many best friends do you have?
I actually have a lot of really close friends. Best friends? I'd say only two, and I talk to them every day.

{three} what's the longest road trip you've ever taken?
In fifth grade, my school took all of us to Washington D.C. in a charter bus. Ummm?? How crazy did these people have to be to take 75 fifth graders on that long of a trip. It was fun, but also miserable. I'm pretty sure the next year my mom paid my brother not to go on the trip after going with me.

{four} if you had to do one thing every day for the next year, what would it be?
Wow. This is a hard one for me, and I came up with the question. I would probably go walk around at the flea market. In reality, it's only open two days per week, but I would love to be able to browse every day. I just love all the cool stuff. It would also be nice if I had money to spend all of these times. Just throwing that in there.

{five} what's one story your family always tells about you?
Ok... I may be embarassing myself and even my family here, but I do love this story. My brother and I are really close in age, and we were in diapers at the same time. One night, my mom was changing us and said she noticed that I was confused about the "difference" between me and Trey. Then I asked, "Why does Trey get a booty stick and I don't?" I absolutely love that story for some reason. Now I'm starting to feel like a creep, so on to the next question.

{six} how did your parents pick your name?
My aunt's name is Jamie Michele, and my mom's name is Mala ReNee'. That's how I became Jamie ReNee'.

{seven} what's one thing that scares you more than anything?
I'm really scared of something happening to someone I care about. That would be the worst thing ever!

{eight} are you a good cook?
I like to think that I am. Most people don't complain about my cooking, but there have been a few things I've made that haven't been good. I am trying to cook a little healthier these days, though.

{nine} where do you see yourself in 20 years?
In 20 years, I'll be 47 years old. WOW!!! At that time, I hope Justin and I are raising our child and getting ready to get him/her out of the house :)

{ten} what's your best childhood memory?
I have a lot of great memories from childhood. If I had to pick just one, I would have to go with playing baseball in the yard. Between ours and our neighbor's house, we had a full fledged baseball field. My dad and one of our neighbor's were high school baseball coaches together, and our other neighbor was the baseball coach at the local community college. Baseball was just what we did, and we had so much fun doing it. Now, don't get me wrong here. I was NOT good by any stretch of the imagination, but I was having fun. They would even give me 4 strikes sometimes if they felt like being nice.

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!!

Wee Bit Wednesday

{one} what color best describes you + why?
I think a really bright green describes me right now. I'm pretty happy and bright in my life right now.
{two} how have you changed in the past year?
Wow, I think I've changed a lot in the past year. I have grown up a lot and found the person that I am going to marry. I've also learned to let go of a lot of things and people that aren't positive in my life.

{three} have you ever had any surgeries?
Yes

{four} why did you start your blog?
I loved reading other people's blogs so much that I thought it might be fun. It really has a been a good outlet for me in so many ways.

{five} what are you looking forward to this summer?
I'm most looking forward to being out in the sun. I love the pool and the boat. Second, I guess I'd have to say our girls beach trip coming up. This is such a fun time with all my college friends.
{six} do you have any family traditions for the 4th of July?
Not really. My only tradition is to try to do something in the sun.

{seven} what’s something new that you’ve tried in the past few months?
I've really been trying to learn more about plants and how to take care of them. I've got an expert living with me, so why not.
{eight} what is the perfect a/c temperature?
Something warm. I freeze all the time.

{nine} what was the last movie you saw in the theater?
I saw Hangover 2 in the Starkville theater with my friend, Krista, and her friend, Katlin. Side note here: I got to stay in the old trailor park while I was there and hang with college kids. They were so gracious to hang out with someone as ancient as me, and I felt really old. As old as I felt though, I had a blast and got some tips on how to be trendy from these stylish ladies!! I can't say enough about how funny Krista and her friend are, and I wouldn't eat Taco Bell in a trailor park with anyone else.

{ten} what song do you think everyone should hear at least once?
This is such a hard one for me. I'm going to say Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. Just a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics. So many people have done such wonderful covers of it too. A close second would be Lost by Anouk.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

Wee Bit Wednesday

{one} how many times have you been a bridesmaid/maid of honor?
I've been maid of honor twice. Once in my sister's wedding and once in my friend, Katie's wedding. Both were really fun to help with. I've been a bridesmaid 4 other times. I was in my friend Stephanie's first, followed by Alison, Lindsey and Kristin. That's a lot of bridesmaids dresses. I've also been my friend Kelly and my friend Wally's proxy bride.

{two} what’s the last thing your do before you fall asleep at night?
Right before I close my eyes, I plug in my phone to the charger and set my alarm.

{three} you just won your dream vacation, all expenses paid. where are you going?
I'm headed straight to Greece. How beautiful is that place? I'm embarassed to admit this, but I fell in love with it when I watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.

{four} what is your favorite outdoor activity?
Going out on the boat or helping Justin do yard work. Honestly, I mostly just watch. "Help" probably wouldn't be the word for it.

{five} as a child, what did you want to “be when you grew up”? did you end up there?
I remember wanting to be a nurse for a while, then a psychologist. I work for a non-profit, so I didn't really come close to either of those.

{six} what are 3 things your dream home would have that you don’t currently have?
Since we are currently in a rental, this list could go on and on. The first would have to be a central vac. My parents have one of these. Your vaccuum just plugs up to the wall in every room. Also in the kitchen, there's this thing under the cabinet ledge that just sucks up all the dirt you sweep. No more scooper. How sweet is that? The next thing would be a lot of land for Justin. I don't think he would care what our house looked like if we lived on a lot of land. The last thing would probably be a really big shower with a steam room. I just love those.

{seven} what’s for dinner tonight?
Well, right now there is a roast in the crock pot with potatoes, carrots, mushrooms and gravy. When I get home, I'm going to make some rice, black eyed peas, okra and rolls. We are having some friends over for dinner. I just love cooking for people.

{eight} if someone stopped by your house unannounced on a typical Saturday night, what would they find you doing?
If we were there, we would probably be on the couch watching TV or a movie. We're usually out of town or out somewhere, though.

{nine} what’s your average monthly water bill?
Ours is diffent from month to month, because every other month we pay for sanitation and some other things. One month it will be around $20, and the next it's about $118.

{ten} what do you do to relax?
I like to lay out by the pool or go on the boat. Sometimes I'll just read my kindle or take a nap.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
Jamie

Wee Bit Wednesday

Happy Wednesday everyone!!! Kinda pumped about today's post, since I submitted the first two questions. Thanks for the shoutout MyLeighAshley!!
{one} what’s the worst date you’ve ever been on?
In college, I went on a date with a guy to a school basketball game. It was bad for a lot of reasons. Just to name a few, he was all over me and I barely knew him. He made reference to money all night. Needless to say, there was never a second date.

{two} if you could be any other person for one day, who would it be?
I would definitely be one of the Kardashians. Maybe Kim today, since she just got that fab engagement ring!

{three} what is your favorite kind of cheese?
I'm definitely a mouse and love cheese lots!! If I HAD to pick, I guess I would say American or Provolone. Oh, and I LOVE swiss too and pepper jack. I guess I can't pick.

{four} do you remember your 1st grade teacher?
Mrs. Peavey. That woman was a saint. I loved her so much! My sister had her before me, and I just hoped and hoped that I would get her too. My brother wasn't so lucky. :(

{five} who is the first person you call when you have a bad day?
Definitely Justin. He's so laid back and doesn't let things bother him, so he always puts things into perspective for me.

{six} were you ever in a school talent show?
Maybe when I was a little kid.

{seven} who is your favorite fictional character?
Cinderella

{eight} can you open your eyes underwater?
I could as a kid. I could probably do it now if I wasn't wearing my contacts.

{nine} do you look at the keyboard when you type?
Only for placement. I can type without looking at the keyboard or screen and carry on a conversation at the same time.

{ten} when was the last time you took a nap?
This Saturday I took a pretty amazing nap. I absolutely love naps.

Haha... My mom did Hot Shotz of us when we were kids. It looked a little like Toddlers in Tiaras. :)

No, but I would love to do this. I don't really believe in them, but it would be interesting to hear what they had to say.

Hardwood for sure!!

Not very often because the set-up of our rooms doesn't give us very many options.
